Registration is Open For The 2025 Farm-to-School Institute
Partridge Creek Farm, in partnership with Marquette-Alger RESA, and the MSU U.P. Research and Extension Center, are excited to announce that registration is now open for the upcoming 2025 Farm to School Institute.
The Farm to School Institute is a professional development opportunity designed to provide attendees with the knowledge, resources, and strategies necessary to implement successful farm-to-school initiatives in their communities. Through interactive workshops, hands-on sessions, and networking opportunities, participants will gain valuable insights into incorporating local food into school meals, integrating agriculture-based curriculum into classrooms, and fostering meaningful connections between students, food, and local producers.

What You’ll Learn
Learn how to create and sustain a school garden while safely incorporating garden-grown food into your cafeteria. Connect with the food community to enhance student learning, link academic subjects to food system changes, and access valuable curriculum resources to bring home!
This event is a mix of workshops, panels, and hands-on activities both indoors and outdoors. Please dress for the weather! Participants will have their choice of sessions about school gardens, engaging with community partners and local food, and linking academic subjects and food systems. Participants are welcome to attend the sessions that interest them based on the description and age group. We are planning tours of farms and gardens, as well.
