Preparing For Your Volunteer Day

  • Volunteers of all ages are welcome to volunteer weekly from June 27th-November. Join as few or as many days as you are able.

1.Active Participation: Volunteers are expected to actively engage in farm activities, such as planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting crops, under the guidance of farm staff or experienced volunteers.

2.Respect for Farm: Volunteers should demonstrate respect for the environment and follow sustainable farming practices, including proper waste disposal and use proper walking paths located at the site.

3.Teamwork: Collaboration and cooperation among volunteers are essential for the smooth functioning of farm tasks. Volunteers are expected to work together effectively, communicate openly, and assist each other as needed.

4.Willingness to Learn: Farm volunteer days offer valuable learning opportunities about agriculture, ecology, and sustainable food systems. Volunteers should be open to acquiring new skills and knowledge from farm staff and experienced volunteers.

5.Positive Attitude: Maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude contributes to a fulfilling experience for all involved. Volunteers should approach tasks with energy, optimism, and a willingness to embrace the challenges and rewards of outdoor farm work.
