2024Summer Internship Ends

In the final week of August, we said goodbye to our outstanding Summer Interns with a celebratory farm feast, recognizing their remarkable contributions. While we are sad to see them go, we are immensely proud of their achievements.

When they joined us in May, the farm was nothing more than a hoop house and some mounds of dirt and compost with so much potential and of course a great plan made by our Farm Manager, Allison Stawara. Since then, this dedicated team has built the farm from the ground up, cultivating thousands of pounds of food for the community. Despite the challenges of hand-digging garden beds and constructing a deer fence, their hard work was matched only by their enthusiasm and spirit.

We couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated and fun group to inaugurate our first growing season on the farm. Thank you Summer Interns!

The Farm in June

This aerial photo was taken the first week of June 2024, when our interns first joined us. The beds in the farm were not yet completed and crops were not planted, not even in the hoop house!

The Farm in August

This aerial photo was taken during the interns last week, August 2024! As you can see we are now growing a ton of crops on the farm and our structures are more established thanks to the hard work and help of our interns!
